blood pressure and pain in the body.


Cortisol is a stress hormone that interferes with how your mind and body functions. It lowers 

your immunity and resilience, increases weight gain, blood pressure, cholesterol, heart 

disease and more! Chronic elevated cortisol levels increases anxiety, worry, depression, 

panicked feelings, lack of sleep and burnout.


When you meditate, you reduce cortisol levels which calms the threat system of the brain, the 

fight or flight response.  When cortisol is reduced, this is when anxiety, panic, worry, fear, stress

 and depression can be transformed.


You have the ability to calm yourself and change your life when it all starts to get too much.

Drop In Meditation

We host a drop in meditation the first Tuesday of every month at Shawnigan Lake Spa @ 4-2740 Dundas Road, Shawnigan Lake BC 

250-743-4611.  It starts at 6:30 PM, bring a comfortable chair, a blanket and $10.  http://www.shawniganlakespa.com

Private Classes

Some of us don't do well in groups or can't seem to find the time in our busy schedules to get out of the house and attend a class.  If you are really wanting to learn how to meditate and you are still not doing it, now is the time to do something for yourself and contact us.  We can design a program that will fit your specific needs.  Whether that means us coming to you, or you coming to us.  If you don't start somewhere you will never get to that place that you need to get to.  Everything you do has a beginning, ask yourself if you are worth it.  Pricing is based on the program. 

5 week online learn to meditate program

If you would prefer to learn to meditate on your own to begin with, we completely understand. Therefore we have created a 5 week course for you to learn how to meditate. This program explains what meditation is, how to make it a daily habit and how it can change your life. We support you with daily meditations, inspirational quotes and any support you need during these 5 weeks. At the end of this course you will be meditating like a pro.

Learn to meditate for your Pregnancy and beyond

Meditation is the safest and most effective way to non-pharmacologically reduce stress , thereby restoring and promoting the immune system of both the mother and her baby. At 32 weeks, the placenta transports hormones from the mother's blood into the fetal environment. The fetus relies on the mother for reassurance about the safety of this environment through the hormonal bath. Meditation decreases the production of the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline and gives the fetus a signal that it is safe and protected. This is essential as it sets the temperament of calm or anxiety in the baby. Meditation also produces endorphins, our pleasure hormone, which assists with preparation of childbirth due to its pain relieving effect. Meditation lowers blood pressure and heart rate, which reduces the risk of preeclampsia, placental abruption, miscarriage and preterm labor. Meditation also increases breast milk production helping your baby sleep well, be less colicky and irritable, have few allergies and infections, have a higher tolerance for discomfort and develop skills for self-soothing.
